Travel Itinerary

The First Day - Exploring the Wonders of Arusha and Lake Manyara National Park

In the morning after breakfast, you'll be picked up from your hotel. Together with your guide, you'll embark on a scenic drive towards Lake Manyara National Park situated in the East African Rift Valley. The journey typically lasts around 3 hours. The park is renowned for its picturesque lake, which is home to diverse water bird populations. Noteworthy among them are the striking pink flamingos, alongside a variety of other avian species like cormorants, pelicans, and storks. Lake Manyara National Park boasts around 400 different bird species. Additionally, the park is famous for its unique tree-climbing lions, typically sighted in the central and open areas of the park. Apart from lions, you can expect to spot elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and various other wildlife during the safari. As the day draws to a close, you'll exit the national park and settle in for the night at a campsite near the quaint village of Mto wa Mbu.

The Second Day - Arusha - Tarangire National Park - Lake Manyara District

Following an early morning meal, we set off towards Tarangire National Park, an expansive and picturesque sanctuary that was established in 1970 after being transformed from a former hunting ground during the colonial era. Encompassing an area similar in size to Luxembourg, Tarangire is famous for its abundant and varied wildlife. It boasts a significant elephant population in the northern part of Tanzania, along with a diverse array of other animal species. By chance, you might catch a glimpse of lions, cheetahs, or even the elusive leopards. The park's scenery is just as enchanting, showcasing vast savannahs, seasonal marshes, and iconic baobab trees—particularly stunning in the northeastern area where they form dense clusters. Following a full day of observing wildlife and discovering the park's wonders, we return to Arusha in the late afternoon, carrying back with us indelible memories and breathtaking photos of Tanzania's remarkable wildlife.
